This short film shows a young man processing film negative in a laboratory in Bradford College.
The film opens with a young man in a work room beside a sink; there is a brief shot of a sign which reads Ilford. He takes a large container of liquid from a shelf and funnels it into a glass beaker and then pours it into a tray marked `developer'. He then gets another beaker and pours it into a tray marked `fixer'; he submerges paper in both of the trays.

In the next shot he puts something into a machine; most likely film negative, and then takes some photographic paper from a box and lies it face down into another machine. Finally he removes the paper from the machine and there is an image on it.
