Since 1988, we've been finding, preserving and sharing remarkable film footage which documents life in our regions over the past 120 years.

Each frame of film holds part of the story of Yorkshire and the North East, capturing working lives, home lives, schooldays and leisure, building into a unique visual legacy.

But time is running out; the original collections are already deteriorating, and without vital preservation work, these amazing images will be lost forever.  We hope you will feel able to support us in preserving our regions' film heritage collections; your generosity will ensure that these unique films are safeguarded for us and for future generations to enjoy.
