The film begins with a brief shot of an Asian woman and a child (mother and daugher Hemlata and Darshana Mistry) before going onto an Indian Cricket Club team coming onto the field at Bradford Park Avenuecricket ground and warming up.

The film begins with a brief shot of an Asian woman and a child (mother and daugher Hemlata and Darshana Mistry) before going onto an Indian Cricket Club team coming onto the field at Bradford Park Avenuecricket ground and warming up.
The game gets underway with the Indian Cricket team fielding and Yews Green players batting. After some action, a group of spectators applauds the Indian Cricket Club team as they come off at the end of the innings. They are then batting with Mohan Mistry and Prabh Mistry opening the batting.
The film switches to a kitchen where the little girl (Darshana Mistry) is having a wash in the sink. Next, with a microphone in her hand, she is singing and dancing. The film then comes to an end.

The Interlink Cricket Club that formed in 1970, as part of the Bradford Mutual Sunday School Cricket League, with a Youth Club on St Margaret’s Road, and managed by Rev. Keith Potter of St Columbus Church in Great Horton. The club was open to all nationalities but was mainly made up of players who had come from India and several from Pakistan. A DVD tracing the history of the club, until it changed management in 1979, was recently made, narrated by founding member Mohan Mistry. |
