Description This is a short film made by Hull engineer Cyril Elliot on his daughter’s birthday and of the stern trawler, the Lord Nelson, at sea.
The film begins with two small children running up and down Market Place in Hull with their mother. There is a statue of King William in the background. They are joined by their father, Cyril Elliot.
The film switches to the stern trawler the Lord Nelson at sea, showing many of the men working on her, lowering the net and winding it back in again.
Next, there are two girls dressed in pink. They ‘walk’ a toy monkey, and the film comes to an end.
