A group of children are seated in a garden when a couple of adults arrive and are greeted by the hosts. The male host has difficulty erecting a deck chair, while the newly arrived couple, having donned servant’s uniforms, move a table across the garden and lay it out with food and drink. The male servant furtively pours himself a glass of sherry, and then pours one for the female servant. The guests arrive and are offered drinks. As the maid pours out tea, she accidently on purpose pours some over the vicar. As the male servant hands out cigarettes, he accidently on purpose sets light to a piece of paper one of the guests is holding, and then sprays her with tonic water to put it out. The children all laugh as someone helps to dry her. Meanwhile the male servant helps himself to more sherry.
The children play some golf in the garden and one of them hits a ball that knocks the male servant in the back causing him to throw the cake he is carrying into the face of a woman guest, to more laughing from the children, and again the servant helps himself to sherry. Now quite drunk, the guests look up in surprise as the servant pinches a bottle of Martini. The female servant then trips over while carrying ice creams, which end up on the faces of three men sat in deckchairs. The children are now helping themselves to the Martini while the drunken servant has more mishaps. A mini battle cake throwing battle ensues and the servants get chased off the premises.
