This film is a series of random unconnected film clips are edited together here with title cards attempting to create links and lineage.  Title – G.H.C. Presents – Odd shots Title – Just a series of disconnected incidents amusing and otherwise. Title - Scarborough  The film opens with water bumper cars in a pool, and a boy drops a penny into a coin operated telescope and looks out to see. Views out into the sea of a seagull sat on a rock, various other views of waves crashing against the rocky shallows and people looking out to sea.  Title – Another kind of wave  A female hairdresser places a pin in a woman’s hair.  Title – And talking of Saloons – see the one Cyril made. It was a tourer until one day in a silly mood. Two men stood in front of a roofless car appear to be winding the engine with a large hand winder; they then look underneath the car lifting the vehicle with surprising ease. A metal frame skeleton of the car roof is lifted and measured up against the car. Title – So Cyril made a new body  A group of 3 men are seen looking over the car in winter layers & smoking cigarettes. Two of the men set about working on the front of the car with a hand wound drill whilst the other watches. The mother of the family leaves the front door of the family home with baby Peter in her arms and joins the men on the drive as they fit the new body to the car. The family dog watches on from his usual sport on the shed roof next to the front door. Title – Even Locks Close up of a car door lock Title – A different kind of lock  Various views from different angles of a canal lock, a large steam powered narrow boat enters the lock. Title – The barges carry enormous loads – so does the Austin The family pile into the Austin (possible Goodwood Saloon) before it speeds off down the road, kicking up dust behind it. Title – It looks fast and so does this Views out of the car windscreen as the car speeds around empty urban streets. Title – This looks fast too  A brief shot of a dog leaving the house followed by a woman who stops to pull up her tights before she leaves the house. Title – She doesn’t like wrinkles Title – A mud pack takes out the wrinkles A female beautician in a white coat applies a mud mask to a lady in a salon, various perspectives from back, side and in reflection of mirror. Title – More mud A woman walks a dog in a large tub outside in a yard. Title – This is a good exercise for Louie  A woman (Louie, possible mother in family) grooms a dog outside in a yard Title – This is a good exercise for Renny A Lady takes a stroll with Peter in a pram down a quiet street with the family dog (possibly Renny) following. Title – Prams seldom give trouble, but there are exceptions. Two mechanics are seen working on what doesn’t appear to be a pram, one of the mechanics notices he is being filmed stops his work and looks up.  Title – It may be the valves, but not these. A smartly dressed man in a shop works on a set of valves on a desk filled with various electrical parts and machinery. Title – Radio service The same man flips the set of valves to have a closer look. Title – Music maybe soothing but not this sort. Two ladies are at a piano, one in a polka dot dress plays whilst the other sings. Title – Even Peter objects to it Baby Peter is seen crying in his cot and then being picked up and placed on the piano stool in front of the piano and he curiously bangs his tiny hands on the key before being lifted by his mother. Title – This is our new car An Austin registration UG5145 (possible Austin Lichfield) pulls up on a country road. Cyril gets out and smokes a pipe whilst taking a stroll around the car and looking out to the country fields.  Baby Peter is being held in his Mother’s arms inside the car, they then step out of the car together. Title – Fashion note – Shorts are becoming popular for the ladies. Louie is taking a stroll wearing a long winter overcoat with shorts on underneath taking Peter for a stroll and showing him the sheep in the fields lining the road. Title – A close shave  Cyril (father) jumps in his car and drives off, followed by a brief view of him shaving at home. Title – My face treatment  Cyril having a shave, from a side profile. Title – Rene’s Face Treatment Rene applies eyeliner and then some make up. Title – And it isn’t only girls who like being painted A brief shot of a man having a moustache painted on his face. Title – Dick Ellison being made into a film star A man in seems to jokingly struggle as one man paints eyebrows a beard whilst another man watches, eventually holding his face still. Title – Here is our youngest star Peter Baby Peter is sat in a chair whilst his mother is seen in the frame filming him, Louie winds up an elephant and hands it to Peter before returning to film him on a hand wound camera. Title – He quickly learns new tricks, but here are some which puzzle him. Peter is lying down in his cot whilst Cyril performs a card trick making a hand of cards disappear into thin air (a camera trick). Title – And That’s All –  The end  A G.H.C.  production  1936
