Title - AHT WI' T'CLUB
It’s September 3rd, and the Wakefield Cine Club are on their annual outing treat. They meet up outside the Star Chambers, Hudsons, and “Steadfast” shops on a wet day. The coach arrives and they travel to York, getting off and first taking a river trip on the Princess Elizabeth. They film the journey, going past Bishop’s Palace, yachts, and rowing boats and return. They then go for lunch to a steak house before wandering around the Museum Gardens and the Abbey. They take another boat trip, this time going upstream. The engine fails on the boat and they have to be pulled ashore, disembarking along a plank. They then visit the Alice Hawthorn restaurant at Nun Monkton. They take a look around the village, get back on the boat, now repaired, and then onto their coach for their journey back to Wakefield.
