This is film of a family holiday in Thurlestone, Devon.  It includes footage of the family at their hotel and sunbathing on the beach.   The film begins showing a road sign for Thurlestone (with Kingsbridge 5 miles, and London 221 miles).  Another road sign states, “Safety First.”  There is a view from a beach looking out to sea with a rock in the distance.  Then there is a sign for the Thurlestone Hotel in Devon.  A group are sunning themselves on the lawn outside the hotel.  They watch as a man gets a soaking as he stands underneath a bucket full of water which has been rigged up to tip onto his head.  There is a close-up of a woman eating chocolate.  Next, the family is sunbathing on a beach and larking around.  The children dig in the sand, and others do a crossword puzzle.  They grab their gear and head back up the cliff to the hotel.  Two women and a boy go for a walk.  A boy changes out of his swimming costume on the beach with his mother.  They go for a walk along another section of the beach.  The family has a game of tennis before there if footage of the view over the bay.  Next they are playing with a bat and ball on the beach, before sitting looking out to sea, and having some fun.
