Title – Film No 1 Peter M. Tyler 20-1-74
The film opens with shots of the water at the docks in Hull. The cameraman films scenes looking out to see as well as back towards the city centre. It’s a sunny day, and some smaller boats can be seen near the docks with the tide out. Lager ships pass by further out to sea, and a barge makes its way near the dock. A small group of people walk along the pier, and there is more footage of the pier and surrounding water with the sun low in the sky. The outlines of the cranes’ structures can be seen at sunset, and the Humber Ferry comes into port. Seagulls fill the sky, and the ferry leaves again as the sun sets.
