Title: Twelfth May 1981
Margaret, the filmmaker Walter Gill's wife, gets off a National Travel East coach.
There's a view of Ripon cathedral in the distance. Cars are parked on the market square.
Margaret walks past shops in the town centre. General views follow of the streets, shops and other businesses with the imposing cathedral towering over them. A brief view of an ornate fountain cuts to another closer view of the cathedral. A close up of a square plaque on a wall reads: 'Chapel of St. Anne's Hospital - About 1430'
General view of a graveyard with some church ruins. General view of an old but plain-looking house. A plaque mounted on the wall reads: 'Thorpe Prebend House. Restored 1609. King James 1 Slept Here 1617.' General exterior shot of the house.
Margaret is sitting on a bench seat.
A young girl gathers daisys and shows Margaret a bunch of the flowers before walking away. A tall bearded man, Walter Gill, joins his wife Margaret on the bench seat.
A closer view of the cathedral shows one of the towers. Out on the street corner near to the cathedral, Margaret waits. The camera moves left to show one of the cathedral's large windows. And then moves left again to where Margaret is standing.
A council information notice reads: 'Council of the Borough of Harrogate - Spa Gardens - Open to the Public- Bowling Green, Tennis Courts, Putting Green, Crazy Golf, Dart Golf, Refreshments'.
General views follow of the crazy golf course and a display of flowers in the Spa Gardens. Children play on the crazy golf course, but don't participate in the golf.
Another brief view of a flower bed, cuts to a view of a lorry driving down a street, then to a cathedral door which ends the film.
