A sign below a painting reads: 'Hartlepool Art Club;' One or two people stop to chat to those club members looking after the display, one in platform shoes. Another view of the display along the railings shows another notice which reads: 'Hartlepool Art Club' with an illegible date beneath. Shoppers admire the paintings. General views follow of shops and people going about their business. Shops include Stylo and Dorothy Perkins General views show people resting on seats at the shopping precinct in the sunshine. In the next sequence, a notice is tacked to a fence: 'Garden Party Saturday 7th June, 2.30pm', which takes place at 'Greystones' in Elwick Road, Hartlepool. General view of the grand house, with people milling around outside, including Margaret Gill who laughs when she sees the camera. A man winds up a small barrel organ, or perhaps a large musical box, for the entertainment of visitors. Others in the large garden sit around tables in the sun. General views of vistors to the garden party and the range of stalls offering entertainment or items for sale. A closer views shows the man and his elaborately decorated music box. The film ends with general views showing visitors looking at stalls or just sitting in the sun.
