The film opens on a Rolls Royce parked outside Samares Manor on Jersey. Snow falls on the lawn. Sir James Knott uses a stick to walks through his garden at Samares. He is accompanied by a second man. Coy Carp swim in the water as Sir James walks through the Japanese garden. In the walled garden the fruit trees stand bare.
The film cuts to the deck of the motor yacht Princess as four men raise their glasses for the camera in a toast. General views of men and women on the deck of the drinking and chatting. A waiter stands nearby with a tray of drinks.
A brief shot of Sir James walking along a grassed pathway back at Samares Manor cuts to a view from a ship of a town and coastline, possibly Saint Helier. A view of a castle or fort just off shore, possibly Saint Aubin’s Fort. Industrial smoke billows into the air from the docks.
The film cuts to a panoramic view of the Paris skyline, the Eiffel Tower in the near distance. The film changes to show pedestrians and traffic pass a large ornate building followed by a view looking down a long boulevard in Paris with a fountain and column or statue. In the near distance, the Eiffel Tower can be seen. A view of two soldiers wearing bicorne hats and holding rifles ends the sequence.
The film cut to a view looking down onto a city skyline below. The film cuts to five people, including Elizabeth, Lady Knott, posing for the camera and chatting from a veranda.
On the deck of Princess, a man in a kilt plays a set of bagpipes. Standing on the nearby quayside a large crowd watch on. A film changes to show a different musician in ethnic costume playing a flute instrument and banging a small drum while dancing on the spot. The film cuts to a third musician playing a type of bag instrument.
At sea the bow of a ship heads off into the distance. The film cuts to a close up of Elizabeth, Lady Knott sitting in a small boat.
The film changes to a view of the monastery of Montserrat in the mountains near Barcelona in Spain. This is followed by a panoramic view looking down into the valley below and across to snowy mountains in the distance. Two women in fur coats look around the scenery followed by them walking along a mountain track towards a rocky outcrop. A view looking back down the mountain shows the monastery in the near distance and the valley far below. The film cuts to a view from a cable car heading back towards the monastery.
The film cuts to the harbour at Barcelona where a number of ships are moored their including a large white yacht and a number of smaller vessels. The Columbus Monuments can be seen on the skyline. The film cuts to show a group visiting Parc Guell and views of the mosaic walls and steps.
Back on the docks two people sit on a bollard possibly fishing followed by views of a rural town or village. Horse drawn wagons makes there way along a country road.
General views of the exterior of a church with a large round stained-glass window, possibly Palma Cathedral on the island of Majorca. The film ends on a view of Palma from the harbour with the cathedral on the skyline.
