Amateur film that records a religious vocation exhibition in the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, organised by the Roman Catholic Church, which took place between 15th and 22nd June, 1952. A Film Theatre is just glimpsed in the background. A priest stands at the “Physiotherapy” stand, a couch and heat therapy machines inside the cubicle. A priest walks two young boys past the ‘Nursing’ stand.
A priest clasps his hands together in prayer and speaks at a Mass inside the exhibition. Another cleric in a fur-trimmed cassock speaks at the service. Brief shot of big crowds inside the exhibition. They are probably assembled as a congregation for the Pontifical High Mass, which takes place on the last day of the exhibition.

Inside Kelvin Hall, the stands are being assembled by a crew. A small motorised trolley drives into the hall and another worker pushes in a barrow. Men carry in lengths of wood. The stands take shape. Overhead shot of the exhibition stands and a tall temporary altar erected at the end of a central aisle.

People stroll past the Alexian Brothers stand (specifically devoted to caring for the sick). Brief shot of a hospital bed in a display. A priest hands out tickets, next to him a trolley holding vials and what looks like surgical instruments.
Crowds of people pass by the” Union des Sacrés-Cœurs” stand. Two nuns pass another stand and a priest presents the holy communion glass beneath a cloth and a bible.
A sign on the exterior of the Kelvin Hall reads “The Mass Returns to the Villages”. A van from the “Northampton Travelling Mission – Catholic Chapel” is parked outside Kelvin Hall. A priest holds a small sign that reads “Portable Confessional, which is being toured by the Northampton Travelling Mission”.
