The film begins with two women and two small girls wearing bathing costumes splashing around in the surf on the beach. A woman wearing a spotted dress helps a young girl out of her clothes and into a bathing suit. A second older girl appears and walks away with the younger child.   Back in the surf, the two women seen previously walk slowly out of the water, one of them holding the hand of the younger child. The women lay down in the sandy surf as the two children stand nearby. A woman in a striped dress holds the hands of two young girls as they paddle and play in the surf. The film cuts to show another woman walking across the sandy beach towards the water. The woman seen previously in the striped dress walks along the edge of the surf with the two girls. The girls play in the sand. A man appears walking along the shoreline carrying the younger girl and holding the hand of the other. He watches as the older girl climbs onto a rock. General views follow of the girls playing in the sand. The film cuts to show the two girls in the sea along with the two women. One of the women is swimming. In the background are a number of small fishing boats moored in the water near the shore. Behind them are lime kilns on the quayside.    General views show the two girls paddling or playing in the surf. The film changes to show a rowing boat into which the man seen previously puts the two girls. A mast is raised and the three of them turn and wave at the camera. The man picks up the younger girl and carries her towards the beach. The film ends with the older girl standing in the stern of the rowing boat with the younger girl in the surf.
