A 30 second television advertisement for Vaux Breweries believed to promote their Gold Tankard range that shows the beer being poured into a glass tankard played along to Tyneside folk song ‘The Keel Row’. In this version, the image is deliberately shown upside, and two male voices complain about the advert being wrong.  The advertisement begins on an image of the Vaux logo printed onto a light background. The image is upside down. An upside down image looks down into a glass tankard as beer is poured into covering  the Vaux logo, replacing it with bubbles and foam. General view shows the now full tankard with an enlarged Vaux logo in the background. Two men’s voices play over the advert, one complaining that the advert is upside down. The other voice say’s it is playing fine for him. The first man that admits that he was standing on his head, hence the reason why the image was upside down. The image now the right way round shows foam from the beer dripping over the side of tankard.  The advertisement ends on a view of the full tankard with Vaux logo next to the closing title.
