Back in his workshop at hs Woodlands Park home near Wideopen, Newcastle the remainder of the film shows Raymond cleaning some of the car’s metalwork and replacing a rear panel on the vehicle.
The film opens on a car and trailer driving along a road cutting to a phantom car ride from inside the same vehicle. They pass a road sign which reads 'Hitchin'.
The film cuts to a man pushing a veteran car that has wheels but no tyres out of a garage. He smiles and gives a small bow to the camera before climbing aboard and pretending to drive it. A second man is filmed climbing out of the vehicle. The film cuts to show the car being tied to the trailer.
Three wheel frames, one bent out of shape, lay on the ground changes to show a pair of men’s hands washing or cleaning a piece of metalwork, possibly part of the vehicles suspension system.
[Blank]
The film cuts to show a man carefully removing a rear panel of the car. On a new piece of wood he marks out the shape before using a handheld saw to cut a new panel to size. The film ends with the man carefully hammering the new rear panel into place.
