Title: Lady in the Lake
Titles: Ullswater
The film begins with general views of the partially submerged steamer ‘Lady of the Lake’ moored besides a jetty. Parts of the ship remains above the choppy waters including a funnel and part of the ship’s bow. Peter Dobing’s father and sister Ann stand on the jetty looking at the sunk cruiser.
Peter and Ann eat ice cream in a town. General views of the blustery conditions on Ullswater and surrounding mountains.
The Dobing family, all in rain coats with hoods up, stand on a road besides the lake being buffeted by the wind and rain. Water blows off the lake into the car park.
Peter’s parents and sister Ann walk along a path, Ann blowing into her hands to keep warm. They begin to cross a stone bridge and look out across the water from a promontory. General views of the river below and trees blowing in the wind.
