Some are dancing on their own, other as couples. Some of the young people sit chatting while others continue to crowd around the camera smiling and laughing. One boys chat with a teenager girl, another holds up a mug to the camera. A boy sitting at a table finishes a bottle of soda, other around the table sit chatting. Three women stands behind a bar, one bopping along to the music. On a wall a mural of George Stephenson’s Locomotion No. 1, followed by the teenagers continue to crowd around the camera dancing. A man with a goatee-beard walks around the space, in another room two men stand chatting. In a sports hall a teenager boy and girl play a game of table-tennis watched by a number of their contemporaries. A young woman crosses the hall walking through a door where the youths seen previously are still dancing. Some of them crowd around her. At a table a teenage girl holds up a magazine to hide her face from the camera. Around her other chats as she flicks through the magazine, a copy of ‘Tit-Bit’s. Others around the room sit or stand over the table as number flick through other teen magazines. The film ends on a boy doing the ‘News of the World’ crossword puzzle.
