Well-dressed men and women dance together on a dancefloor while others sit around table against the wall drinking and chatting happily. One man sits with his arms over the shoulders of two women, one woman stands holding a chair. All the men drink pints of beer, some of the women are smoking cigarettes. Everyone is laughing and having a good time smiling at the camera as it passes. One man finishes a pint in one go, those around him applaud. Another man finishes his pint and gets to his feet. The women continue to chat amongst themselves. Around the room people at tables chat happily over their drinks. A number of women on the dancefloor race to remove their stockings, the men follow by taking off their shoes and socks. On stage a band performs with a young woman in a red dress at the microphone. One of the performers plays a banjo as the woman begins to sing. Some in the room continue to drink and chat while others get up and dance.
