An amateur film of an awards evening believed taking place at Hardwick Social Club on Hardwick Road in Stockton-on-Tees. The film features men being presented with a series of trophies and shields, possibly for sporting achievement. Breaks in-between each award presentation feature beer being drunk and food being eaten. Three men present a series of trophies with envelopes inside them to a number of men who come up to collect. Hands are shaken, a man speaks into a microphone. A woman comes over to a table and puts out pints of beer. A man makes a speech as plates of halved pork pies are passed around. They are consumed by men around small tables also drinking beer. More trophies and awards are presented by a man in mayoral chains while others sit at their tables drinking and chatting. Many of the men with trophies hold them up for the camera with pride. Six women and a man stand behind the bar chatting followed by more of the trophies being held in the air by their owners. A group of men stand around chatting, on stage stands a man. More prizes are handed out to various men, they come to collect and shake hands with the one who is presenting. Men walk away with a series of boxes and packages as well as their trophies. A man speaks into a microphone and another series of trophies are presented with those receiving them coming forward, shaking hands with a man before being presented with their award. Many of those walking away carry large boxes containing prizes. On a table a selection of spirits and bottle beers. Around another table a number of men sit eating and drinking. An older man shakes the hand of a younger man wearing a bowtie, the men continue to eat. Around the room groups of men stand chatting. On stage a number of men, including the one in mayoral chains, make speeches. Various sized trophies and award shields are set up on a table. The film ends with men come over and presented with their awards shaking hands with the man in mayoral chains standing behind the table presenting the trophies.
