Title: The Ingham Staff Reunion 1994
Traffic travels along Dean Road past Hedworth Hall in South Shields. Inside members of staff prepare plates of salad, wash up plates and lay out tables in readiness for the reunion.
In the bar area of the hall former members of staff of Ingham Infirmary, mainly female nursing staff, arrive and reminisce together over a glass of sherry. A photographer positions the women for photographs, possibly for a local newspaper. More guests arrive and some look over old photographs of the hospital and former colleagues.
Title: Dinner is served
Everyone makes their way into the assembly room to take their seats at tables and enjoy their meal.
Title: The Welcome address
From a stage Miss Anne Carr M.B.E, S.R.N, S.C.M, O.H.N.L makes a speech to the audience about todays events. At one point during her speech there is a problem with her microphone. She turns and looks directly at the camera before tapping the microphone. The audience laughs.
Title: At this point the cameraman experiences a little discomfort in his headphones
Miss Carr continues speaking at the end of which she is presented with a bouquet. A shorter speech is then given by Mr Eliot Dayan F.R.C.S.
Back in the bar area former colleagues continue to chat, laugh and reminisce with old friends sometimes over old photographs.
Title: The Final Song
Back in the assembly room many of those in attendance hold hands and sing ‘Auld Lang Syne’. They then sing 'For He's a Jolly-Good Fellow' to Miss Carr who looks on emotionally.
Title: The video in memory of Sarah Cain (Sally)
The film ends on a photomontage of Sarah Cain showing her at work at the infirmary. She died May 1993.
