This film documents a carnival as it processes through the streets of Eccleshill, Bradford and provides a good example of the types of carnivals that were common during the 1920s. The procession includes many decorated floats as well as participants in fancy dress. The procession is led by a man riding a horse. He is followed by a band and a lady with a collection box. Stewards and officials follow with the St. John Ambulance. Individuals in fancy dress all slow down for the camera as they pass by, and a boy on crutches tries to keep up with the procession. A second band in fancy dress follows, and a policeman watches as they pass by. A van passes - L. Bland, Bradford, and there is a Charlie Chaplin impersonator who dances for the crowd. A motorcycle and sidecar pass by, and the film includes views of the crowd who have turned out for the event as well as buildings in the background. Returning to the parade, there are more people in fancy dress including a man dressed as John Bull. A decorated truck goes by as well as more floral floats. At the end of the procession, there are sports events which include a children's sack race.
