Title - Borrowdale A car drives along a country road with a village in the background. There is a sign for 'Seatoller'. Smoke bellows out of the chimneys of a group of houses. There is a brook, and a path through a wood, and then a waterfall followed by some of the surrounding scenery. Intertitle - Stonethwaite shut in by mountains is wettest place in England and for five months each year is sunless There is a road glistening after a rainfall, and a hazy valley. Beyond a ramshackle fence there is a farm and a small village. Intertitle - Owing to risks of floods this wall is also the pathway A dry stone wall has had a timber frame attached to enable people to walk on it along the flooded road. A man and a woman sit next to a river, and are joined by two boys. Intertitle - The Bowder Stone, balanced on one edge & weighing about 1900 tons The stone is seen with a wooden ladder leading up to the top, with visitors walking around it. A man and a woman walk along a path down to a river having a stone bridge. There is an AA sign for Borrowdalel Grange, and a small group of buildings on one side of the river. Intertitle - Ashness Bridge There is another small old stone bridge crossing a stream. Intertitle - Watendlath A small village lies on the other side of the bridge, with a nearby waterfall. Intertitle - Falls of Lodore The falls are filmed from close up and then again from a distance. Intertitle - Near Stair There is another old stone bridge going over a river. Intertitle - Bassenthwaite Lake The lake is filmed form high up in the distance. Intertitle - Friar's Crag and Derwentwater The lake is filmed form close up and the surrounding mountains are shown. There is a road sign for Keswick, and the centre of the town is seen with the church and parked cars, and rapids. Intertitle - The Parish Church of St Kentigern, founded 557 A.D. The church is filmed form various vantage points. Intertitle - The clock has only one hand. The one handed clock is shown close up. Intertitle - The grave of Robert Southey Poet Laureate 1813-1843 There is a close up of the grave stone, showing the inscription, and the film comes to an end.
