There are shots of the family and their caravan, as well as the lakes, the tourist ferries and a hotel. The film begins with a car pulling a caravan and driving out of the gate beside their shop. After this, they drive across a river and arrive at the entrance to the caravan park. There are shots of caravans parked on their individual sites neat stone paths between. Following this is a panning shot of a lake taken from the shore. Following this are more shots of the caravan park taken from the different levels and from different angles. Three young men dressed in suits, white shirts and white shoes walk out of the park in the direction of the camera. There are crowds of people walking along the jetty and many of them get onto boats and take trips around the lake; there are shots of the lake taken from a boat. There are shots of other boats, sailing yachts and houses on the lake shore and then shots of the passengers being helped off the boat. The next section takes place at a colder time of year; a man and a woman stand on the jetty waiting for the passenger ferry to dock. Men and women walk off the ferry, including some men with bicycles. There is a shot of a sign for 'Newby Bridge' followed by shots of the hills and surrounding countryside at dusk. There are shots of the roads, towns and countryside along the route to the lakes. The 'Romney Hotel' comes into view and this is followed by a-point-of-view shot from the front of the car as they drive along busy roads beside the lakes. Some people sit on the grass overlooking a lake and beside some men stand on a stone bridge looking into the water.
