This film was made by an amateur filmmaker who was a farmer from Reighton, near Filey, North Yorkshire. It features scenes from a children's Christmas play and a family gathering.
The film opens with a group of children, dressed in costume for the nativity play, gathered together to pose for the camera. Much of the footage is under-exposed, but following this is footage of the play itself. At the end of the play, the school kids get out of their costumes.
The next scene takes place at the filmmaker's home. Here, his son is dressed in a cowboy costume. The family is gathered together, seated around a long table for a family meal. There is more footage of the little boy in his cowboy costume as he shoots a toy gun towards the camera, and his sister is dressed as a nurse. The children play together in the lounge with other family members.
