This film goes through a full calendar year displayed by the planting, tending to, and harvesting of the garden. The film opens with a title, Gardening Calendar followed by a large garden and a man with a wheelbarrow. A man and woman begin digging in the garden. The garden outside is snow-covered, but inside in what appears to be a sort of greenhouse, a man plants seeds and small plants into a flower box. Next there is an organized garden, no longer snow-covered, with many plants at different stages of growth. A man is burning the unwanted brush, there is much more digging and planting, and different types of vegetation can be seen at various stages of growth. An older woman is picking berries, green beans, and potatoes. The potatoes will later fill up an entire wheelbarrow. Finally after the harvest, it is winter again and the end title comes up on the film.
