Sign - Carleton Gala September 1 A tractor arrives pulling a carnival stand and construction material, and the men from the parish begin to set up in the church yard. In the street, those who will later walk in the procession, sporting a variety of costumes, line up in the street and await the beginning of the parade. Led by the marching band, with the Queen's float following shortly behind, the procession makes its way through the town to the church yard. In the church yard, there is a fancy dress competition and a variety of game and food stands. Also, a group of girl gymnasts perform a tumbling routine as well as other gymnastic feats.
