This is a film which shows a youth outing to Ilkley and a few short sequences of the family. The people taking part were members of the St. Andrew's Methodist Youth Club and families from the church in Halifax.
The film begins with a large group getting off the bus. On the grass, the group eats lunch and generally relaxes lying around and sunbathing. There is a group of small children who play on the pebbly rocks near the water looking for small creatures in the water pools. After lunch, the group from the bus hikes around the hilly countryside. They also play different games including a brief game of football and a human tug-of-war. After the tug-of-war, the group all lay on the grass in a bit of a dramatic fashion looking exhausted. After some more hiking around the countryside, the group goes back on the bus labelled 63 to Bradford via White Cross, Shipley.
