This film is from the Tony Jackson collection and contains footage from the wedding of Tony and Eileen on December 26th 1963. They were both members of the Morley Cyclo Club.
The film opens in a bedroom and shows the bride and bridesmaids getting ready, putting on make-up and having a celebratory drink.
There is very close up shot of a man's mouth, and then the shot pulls out and there are shots of a groomsman smiling at the camera and holding his lapel flower. There are other family members standing around as well as one of the bridesmaids; she shows her bouquet to the camera. The groom had a flower pinned onto his lapel and another woman has one put onto her coat.
The bridesmaids come down the stairs smiling at the camera and they pose for photographs in the sitting room. The bridal party exit the house, and then there is a shot of the car with the bridesmaids arriving outside the church. The car with the bride pulls up outside the church, and she is helped out of the car by one of the groomsmen. The next few shots are very dark but it is possible to see the bride arranging her dress before they walk down the aisle.
After the ceremony, the couple come out of the church and walk under two bicycle wheels that are held over them. They walk towards the camera smiling while the guests stand outside the church smiling and clapping. More of the guests pile out of the church.
The couple pose for the camera outside the church; they kiss for the camera. There are more shots of the guests gathered outside the church and then shots of the couple and the bridal party posing for photographs.
At the reception, the bride and groom stir cups of tea, and the camera pans around to capture the rest of the guests having tea and eating sandwiches. There are shots of the wedding cake and the couple cutting the wedding cake.
