Titles - Colour on the Move 1966, Ilford Colorcine - January
The film begins with a mother helping her toddler to walk on a frozen pond. There are many other people skating, and children are sliding about. A girl takes a picture of them, and a man helps the toddler over the ice.
Intertitle: 'March'
A boy and a girl are in a playground on a roundabout, a rocking horse and climbing frame. The little girl and the other two children then stand at the edge of a stream before playing football on the grass with a man in goal.
Intertitle: 'Longshaw'
The family has parked the car on the side of a country road, and the children play on the verge and by a stream.
Intertitle: 'April'
The children are now in a garden, with the toddler being pushed on a tricycle by an older girl. She plants something in the earth, and two boys are digging a hole.
Intertitle: 'May'
Out in the countryside, the children paddle in a fast flowing stream where there are other people as well and a small man-made waterfall.
Intertitle: 'Millhouses Park'
The small girl stands watching others in a pond. The family sit on the grass and have a picnic before playing in the park. A boy is in a paddle boat on the pond.
Intertitle: 'Chatsworth'
In the grounds of Chatsworth, the mother helps up her toddler and the children play next to a waterfall. Using stepping stones, a boy crosses a shallow river, possibly the River Derwent.
Intertitle: 'Whitsuntide Endcliffe Park'
On a sunny day a procession makes its way into Endcliffe Park, which is full of people. The family walk around the pond in the park and sit on the wall.
An elderly lady sits in a deckchair outside a wooden chalet in the countryside. She is joined by some children and adults. The elderly lady and a man take the toddler for a walk.
In the next scene, the little girl is back in her garden playing in a plastic paddling pool where she is joined by an older girl and a boy.
Intertitle: 'June Mablethorpe'
The small girl holding a bucket walks along the beach. Two other girls are wading in the sea. The small girl is then at a fairground being helped to try to hook a plastic duck, before the children go on some of the rides, like the dodgems and the big wheel.
A closing title, 'The End' is followed by a sunset over the sea.
