Film opens with a shot of a sign which reads `Paignton Zoo & Botanical Gardens'
Two tigers are in a cage; they pace up and down. In the lion enclosure a sign reads `Danny & Elsa-these animals as cubs are the actual animals used in the filming of Born Free'; a lioness paces the cage.
There are shots of many animals including: vultures, Andean condor, harpy eagle, Himalayan black bear; a bear paces a tiny cage, black footed penguin; shot of penguins in the water, ostrich, barbery sheep, and goats in an enclosure.
There are long eared owls, flamingos, ring-tailed lemurs, and a caged gorilla twirling in circles. A man gives an orangatang water from a jug, and the chimpanzees are fed through their fence.
There are more animals including: a leopard and a Brazilian tapur. A young child follows a duck and the final shot is of a man pointing at a picture of a Dodo and talking to a few people.
