Kevin Hickey, an ABA (Amateur Boxing Association) coach addresses a group of young men as they sit outside on some grass. Some of the young men smile at the camera.
The group of young men, Joe Bugner and the coaches all go for a jog along an empty road. They have to run up a hill, and then do lots of different stretches when they have reached the top.
The narrator talks about the type of training that is necessary when training to become a boxer.
The boxers do circuit training in a gym while the narrator talks about the importance of varying the exercises according to an athlete's different strengths.
The narrator talks about a local relay race that the young men are going to take part in. Some of the young boxers talk about the race and how they felt about doing it. This is followed by footage of the boxers running along a road and passing the baton at various stages.
A temporary boxing ring is set up outside, and Joe and his sparring partner fight each other in order to show the young men different moves and punches. The coaches constantly comment on the boxing, telling the young men what to look out for.
In the next shot the young boxers are on a trip in the Telemark mountains with their coaches and a guide. The guide points out and old water factory that was used by the Nazis during the War and talks about another town in the middle of the mountains that only gets sunlight for a few months a year. The group takes a cable car to the top of Norway's second highest mountain.
Back in the training ring, the coaches practice sparring with the young men. They point out their mistakes and tell them what they should be doing to improve their techniques.
Reg Gutteridge, a television boxing correspondent, talks to the camera about his interest in the training and his time spent with the young boxers. There are shots of him playing football with them all.
The young men, Joe and the coaches go horse riding, swimming, play football and spend time beside a lake. Over these images is a voice over by some of the young men who talk about how helpful, easy going and successful Joe is and how they can't believe that he is only a few years older than they are.
The last few shots show the young men and Joe jogging and doing more training and there is a shot of Kevin Hickey the ABA coach.
