Theseus and the Minor Detour, by Newman School The film opens with the Minotaur and a boy who will be telling the story of Theseus and The Minotaur. All the characters in the story are being voiced by school students. King Aegeus wanders around wondering out loud, 'where's my son? I sent him to Asda for a pint of milk and bread and he has been gone hours.' His son, Theseus, returns and declares that he is off to Crete to slay the Minotaur. Here he meets Ariadne, 'by heck your gorgeous', who replies, 'you're a bit full of yourself aren't ya?' Ariadne explains that he will find the Minotaur in the labyrinth. So Theseus sets off for the labyrinth where it is dark and spooky. Here he meets the Minotaur who declares, 'Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman.' Theseus replies, 'An Englishman? I'm Greek you twit.' They go on and fight to the death. Having won, Theseus, 'has a quick snog with Ariadne, and back home to see me dad.' The End
