This film is from a collection of films made by Leeds based filmmaker Jack Goldberg. The collection consists of footage from family holidays, weddings, family food shop in Leeds, and family activities. As the family are Jewish, there are a lot of interesting insights into the family traditions, foods and religious customs. This film contains footage of the everyday events of a toddler including bath and play time.
This film opens with a baby in a bath; a pair of hands come into shot and put a sponge and a face cloth on the baby's head. A woman, most likely the mother of the child, picks the baby out of the bath and dries it in a towel.
In the next shot the baby is sitting on a towel on the floor playing with a toy phone; the baby chews on it and then plays with a bit, yellow teddy that was left beside it. Another toy is dangled over the baby's head and in the final shot of this scene the baby is in a cot and reaching over the side of it.
In the next scene and woman and an older woman exit a house and get into a car; a man in a tuxedo comes out after them and holds the door open for the woman.
Back in the garden the baby is in a walker and laughing at the camera; the big, yellow teddy is put into the walker beside the baby. Following this a woman puts the baby into a washing basket with a pillow and teddy and the baby laughs and smiles. Then there is a shot of two women carrying the washing basket with the baby in it out of the house and putting it on the grass.
In the next few shots the baby is older and walking around the garden; a woman throws a ball to the toddler and it runs around. Two other men play ball with the toddler and then it walks around the garden pushing a toy cart with a toy dog on it.
The toddler is on the grass with a man who is most likely its father; the man shows the toddler the daisies in the grass. The toddler's mother and another woman play ball and then sit the toddler on a sun bed and give it the big, yellow teddy. The toddler then runs around the garden, walks over to the buggy and then to the flowerbed and pulls a flower.
The toddler's older brother is in the garden with his parents. The parents play with both of the children; they lift them up and carry them on their shoulders. The final shots are of the siblings sitting together in the garden and then their mother holding the toddler and pushing the boy on the swing.
