(1971) A diesel train passes followed by a streamlined steam engine, an A4 class painted blue with a black and white front, is stood at Sheffield Victoria Station - possibly the Mallard (on the driver's cab door is the number '19' - unable to read name plate). The engine moves off pulling a passenger train while crowds watch from the platform. Then a diesel (253) passes followed by another diesel 1516 (9010 - unable to read name plate).
At the Crich Tramway Museum, a number 15 tram to 'Parkhead' with orange, green and cream stripes, passes by. There are two sets of tracks with overhead cables. This is followed by a single deck tram of red and cream that looks as if it is being pulled by a small locomotive. Then a green and cream double deck to 'Bispham' passes by with children looking out of the open front on the top deck. Other trams are going in and out of the sidings.
A train pulled by steam loco (44306) reverses into a station. The green engine runs around to the front of the train, couples up, and moves off. Then another green steam engine, the Flying Scotsman (4472), is pulling a single carriage passes through Attercliffe Road Station on its way to Sheffield, with Hyde Park flats in the background. The same train returns in the other direction, watched by people on the platform. It is followed by another (4471) pulling several carriages.
(1975) The film switches to show a red sports car (reg. RWF 799N) drive down a country lane. Then back to Attercliffe Road Railway Station where the 'Sir Nigel Gresley' passes through towards Sheffield pulling a single carriage and returning light (it has a sign stating 'Flying Scotsman' on the front). It then returns again through Attercliffe Road Station pulling a train from Sheffield, while people watch from the platform.
(1969) There is then film of a black and white dog in a driveway before showing a steam train (loco 2996, 'Victor') passing through Minehead Station. The film is then taken from the train, and a couple disembark at a country station. It then passes 'Blue Anchor' Station where the loco runs around the train and takes it back.
(1975) Then an old steam engine (790) is pulling another engine (92220) watched by railway enthusiasts, many taking photos. It is filmed again further down the line with a man in a ginger top taking a photo and the film comes to an end.
