The film shows Beighton Infant School, from the front and the back. Inside the school a very impressive buffet has been laid on. Betty Hall, the former Head teacher, arrives and a toast is made by all in attendance to her retirement. All the staff gathers for a photograph. There are two large cakes. Betty...

Betty Hall is presented with a school bell by the new Head teacher, inscribed with her dates, and a bouquet. Having taken food and drink, they all sit outside. On the wall a good luck banner is displayed. Betty rings the bell and performs the ceremony of cutting the cakes, after thanking Mrs Marshall for baking them.
