This film is part of the C.H. Wood collection and contains footage from the West German Grand Prix. There are shots of the German stadium and spectators as well as the racing and Grand Prix legend, Giacomo Agostini.
A big traffic jam is blocking a main road while streams of motorbikes pass them by. The camera pans to one side to reveal a stadium car park which is full of cars and which is the destination for the traffic jam. There is a shot taken from a height looking down onto the road from the other direction.
A woman hands money into a ticket kiosk, gets her change and her money. In the following shots hundreds of motorcyclists and motorcycle enthusiasts make their way into the stadium in the direction of the camera. Many of them are wearing leathers while the rest are dressed in casual clothes.
There is a brief shot of a motorcyclist riding around the track, and then it cuts back to the spectators arriving into the stadium carrying picnic bags. Another person buys tickets at the kiosk and it is possible to see that the rally is being held in Germany. More people buy tickets and then the shot cuts back again to the still heavy traffic making its way into the stadium.
There are some shots taken from the top of a building, looking down across the track and onto the traffic. There are close up shots of the ticket seller counting money. A campsite has been set up on a hill beside the stadium, and a police man directs traffic around the area.
Giacomo Agostini walks towards the camera amidst a crowd of people who shake his hand and chat to him; he smiles at everyone. He gets onto his bike at the starting point and is hugged by a man. There are shots of other motorbikes racing around a track and then back to the starting point where lots of riders are lined up.
There is footage of the race and then a shot of Agostini holding the trophy and waving from the podium. He walks out of the arena where lots of men with cameras wait for him. A man holds a struggling pig and Agostini pats it on the head.
The next couple of sections consist of shots of motorbike races with crowds of spectators watching from the side lines. One rider crashes into the straw barrier while another one falls off his bike and slides along the track. Some men use a fire extinguisher to put out one of the bikes that has gone on fire.
There is a brief shot of the pig moving inside a sack and then more shots of the crowds arriving and of the crashed bike on the track. A steward avoids the racing bikes while trying to pull the straw bales off the road.
