This is a film made to commemorate the celebratory events for the 100th anniversary of St. Saviour's Church, Fairweather Green, Bradford.    A Bramwell House Film Group Production Title – St. Saviour's Church Fairweather Green Centenary Celebrations Intertitle – Built in 1966 Comments by A Cooper & S Brooksbank The film begins showing the outside of the church.  The accompanying commentary explains that it is two miles to the west of Bradford City Centre, and that the architect was George Pace of York.  The church was opened in 1966.  The commentary states that the film covers a period of 4 months, and begins by describing some aspects of the church, but explains that the film is not about the building but about the people who come there to worship.  The commentator goes inside the church and points out some of its features, such as the organ and statue of Mary with child.  He then gives details of all of the many events for the 100th anniversary church celebrations.     It is the centenary day where, after Holy Communion, the current and previous vicar and the choir lead the congregation from the church to go to a supper dance at St Matthew’s RC Church at Ollerton.  Here children and adults are on the dance floor having a fun time as a DJ plays pop music.  Two weeks later there is a procession through the streets for the annual garden party.  The procession starts at the church and ends at the vicarage garden.  Leading the procession are cubs, followed by girl guides and children in fancy dress.   In the vicar’s garden a girl is crowned Rose Queen.  Next are the fancy dress competition and other competitions.  Many member of the congregation mingle between the various games and stalls. Back at the Church Hall cubs are arriving for their production of that year’s show, Oliver.  They sing Lionel Bart’s song "Consider Yourself".  This is followed by an interview with Councillor Saville at the flower festival being held in the church.  The flower displays are given names deriving from the New Testament and other Christian inspirational stories.  In the Church Hall there is a cheese and wine get together.  The following day, in the church, they are entertained by the Holroyd young people’s band from Shipley.  This includes a boy giving a piano recital.  Then there is a church Procession of Witness around the parish on the anniversary of the church’s dedication, led by the marching band of the Bradford Division of the Girls’ Brigade.  They pass the first St Saviour’s Church at Jesse Street from where they moved in 1966.  The vicar gives a speech in front of the Foundation Stone of May 26th 1883.  They then march off again and continue through the streets, and later, stop to sing a hymn.  This is followed by the Harvest festival, with a stand for the local woollen industry and gifts surrounding the altar donated by church attenders to go to the Bradford day shelter for the homeless.   In the church the congregation sing songs of thanksgiving. At the end the vicar gives a talk to the camera on the centenary and the future. Title – The End
