This is a film of a visit by Princess Mary Viscount Lascelles to Keighley on Tuesday March 16th 1926.  The film shows the Princess visiting the Town Hall and Victoria Hospital, and large crowds of spectators along the streets filmed from one of the cars on the Royal entourage. Title – HRH Princess Mary Viscount Lascelles visit to Keighley The film begins with the Mayor and Mayoress getting into their car to meet Princess Mary. The Royal party is driven past watching crowds, many waving the flag of St George.  Following the procession as it is filmed from one of the cars. The parade passes the spectators and a cinema showing ‘The Adventurous Sex’.  They pass the shop of M F Merall and H Smith electrical engineer and more large crowds lining the streets.  A wall has several advertising hoardings, including one for Bisto.  They go through the town centre, looking out at the large crowds as they go past. A line of soldiers, the Mayor and other dignitaries await their arrival at the Town Hall (out of focus).  The film switches to show a small crowd also waiting near a park, and then the hospital staff of Victoria Hospital, on Highfield Road, poses for the camera.  Marching Girl Guides arrive, as does the Mayor.  Princess Mary inspects the Girl Guides as they line up.  Large crowds, laughing with the police, wait at the war memorial, where the Princess, accompanied by the Mayor, lays a wreath.
