The film begins with visitors walking around the vintage cars on display in a field. One of the marquees is for Hull Brewery. A crowd of children take a close look at one of the cars, and there is a close up of a steam piston in action. The traction engines are in a line, all fired up. They make their way out to the field. There is a large fairground packed with people. There is a carousel and a Wurlitzer and a large swinging boat. The traction engines do a circle of the field watched by a crowd on a blustery day. Many of the traction engines are shown close up. A woman drives a tiny engine pulling herself and a small boy, making running repairs as she does so. She is followed by a vintage motorcycle and vintage cars. The traction engines go through a manoeuvring course. A small boy eats an ice cream. There are also some vintage trucks. They all line up again having completed their circuits and the film comes to an end.
