A procession is led by a red car with a large loudspeaker on the front, followed by floats, beginning with St John’s Sunday School. There are many floats, mostly of children, one for ‘Local Industry, Past and Present’, another for St John’s Guides.
Then we switch to stalls being set up in the garden of the vicarage. The parade arrives, with St John’s Majorettes and the Sunday School Queen and her attendants. The vicar makes a speech and the Queen is crowned. The Queen makes a speech and there is a children’s fancy dress competition. People mingle around the stalls, and there is a girl’s gymnastics display as the film comes to an end.
