This is a brief film from the Derrick Walton Collection of his own wedding.  The wedding and reception take place in Ilkley, and the film includes footage of the church as well as the following reception.  (Col.) The clock tower of the church shows 11.30.  The groom arrives at the church where guests are waiting outside in the sunshine.  More guests arrive in a street with terraced housing.  There is a line of black cars.  The bride arrives accompanied by her father. (B&W)  Inside the church, the wedding service is underway.  The bride and groom stand at the front of the altar as the vicar conducts the ceremony. (Col.) Outside the newly wedded couple emerge from the church to photographers.  They are joined by the bridesmaids for more photographs.  Guests throw confetti over them as they get into the waiting car. Intertitle – The Crescent Hotel Ilkley The newlyweds arrive by car at the hotel followed by the other guests.  Cars and buses pass by and across the road is the shop of ‘Robinson’. (B&W) Inside the newlyweds cut the cake.  The guests take their places at their tables and dinner is served. (Col.)  The bride and groom sit in the car ready to leave.   Intertitle – “Grange View”, Steeton The bride and the bridesmaids, all holding bouquets, again pose for the cameras.  Guests arrive as the groom carries the bride over the threshold.  More photographs are taken outside, with hills and fields in the background.  Lastly, the newlyweds are seen about to go on their honeymoon.
