We're going to Deer Shed Festival!
We’re excited to announce that we will be heading to this year's Deer Shed Festival at Topcliffe, North Yorkshire with three separate programmes of film.
Content from Nature Matters will feature in all three of the programmes that we are presenting across the three days of the festival. These will include Social Cinema, which is a series of short films produced in-house exploring the history of pressing social and political issues including gender equality, homelessness and poverty, isolation and climate justice.
Secondly, we have a specific Nature Matters film screening, which offers an eye-opening collection of shorts, exploring aspects of our changing climate represented on film.
Lastly, we have a series of animal animations by self-taught animator Sheila Graber, which will be selected from over 100 films that she produced in her home studio. So, take a break from the music and head over to watch some thought-provoking and exciting archive film!
Deer Shed 2023 takes place over the weekend of 28th - 31st July and offers a selection of great music, arts and science for the whole family. It’s also the perfect location for our Nature Matters archive content, with the festival site nestled between the Yorkshire Moors and the Dales.
Deer Shed signed up to the A Greener Festival programme in 2022 and are committed to sustainability, with an aim to become carbon neutral by 2030.
You can buy tickets and find out more about the festival by visiting the Deershed website. Hope to see you there!
